The team at Wilson Dermatology understands that we’re all living in unprecedented times. As such, we want to outline how we are keeping safe as we navigate COVID-19. Here’s what you need to know about how we’re preserving the wellbeing of our staff, patients, and property visitors:
Before Your Appointment
One week before your visit, you will receive a reminder email which will allow you to confirm your appointment. If left unconfirmed, you will receive a second reminder two days prior to your visit. It is imperative that we have an accurate email on file so you receive these reminders. In the email, there is a link where you can complete our Mobile Pre-Check service and also fill out your Past Medical History Form. This enables you to complete up to 90% of your registration before you attend your appointment, reducing the amount of time you spend in the office.
Upon arrival, we ask that you remain in your vehicle and phone our team. Our phone number is prominently displayed in the parking lot to make this as easy as possible for you. During this call, we will ask screening questions about any COVID-19 symptoms, your travel history, and your COVID-19 test history before inviting you into the clinic.
In the Clinic
A medical assistant will greet you at our entrance, take your temperature, and provide hand sanitizer. Please ensure that you wear a face mask or covering at all times when visiting us. We are not utilizing the waiting room at this time other than to check patients in through our kiosks. Unless the patient is a minor or needs special assistance, we request that you attend your appointment alone. A medical assistant will need your photo ID and Insurance Card to check you in and then escort you to the exam room.
If a follow-up appointment is required, our team will book that with you while in the exam room. Subsequently, a staff member will escort you from the building, holding open doors and helping you maintain a safe distance from staff and other patients.
Other Steps We Are Taking
Everyone on our premises is required to wear a face mask or covering while in the office. Throughout the building, we practice a 6′ distance between all staff members and patients where possible. By reducing patient volume, we are ensuring that we limit contact between our patients, too.
To further reduce the number of individuals in our office, we have stopped admitting pharmaceutical representatives and couriers into the facility — we receive all deliveries outdoors.
